The US Securities and Exchange Commission’s Crypto Task Force has scheduled a roundtable discussion for December 15 to address escalating privacy and financial surveillance concerns in the cryptocurrency ecosystem. Industry leaders and regulators will explore solutions without issuing policy recommendations.

Privacy has surged as a priority for investors following high-profile legal cases involving Tornado Cash and Samourai Wallet developers, alongside notable price rallies for privacy-focused tokens. Naomi Brockwell of the Ludlow Institute highlighted the tension between technological freedom and regulatory oversight in a recent social media post.
